Our next meeting...

Welcome to the Worcester Photography Center

We're an eclectic group with a common interest in photographic imaging. You'll find pros and amateurs, advanced and beginner.

At Our Last Meeting

We had quite an enthusiastic turnout at the Banx Room in the Worcester Public Library. We covered various aspects of our new Wetpaint Wiki (see the link at the upper right of this site to get there).

Wiki's are web pages that many people can access and update. In our case, this requires "Writer Permissions", but this is easy to get. You just have to be a WPC Meetup member and then ask. Folks who come across our site can still see what we have going on, but membership has its privileges. (Was that an American Express commercial?)

Waiting For Folks To Arrive At Hope Cemetery

We had a clousy start, but the western sky cooperated eventually and we ended up with a very nice, sunny late afternoon. About a dozen Meet-er Uppers came to photograph the beautiful Hope Cemetery and, further down the road, some old industrial buildings. Look for more images on our Wiki.

Did You See The Latest Worcester Living Magazine?

Check out the latest issue!!! ...there's a nice article, Trashed In Taffet about last year's Trash The Dress project headed up by Teya Rutherford and Scott Erb. Some very nice coverage about the event and some images to boot. Woo Woo Woo!

Click the image to view more about the event in our Wiki pages.

We Could Use Some More Window Dressing

I would be nice to have some more images adorn our pages. Members should feel free to contact Casey with a favorite image. Right now, our home page has about a dozen that randomly appear whenever you refresh. It's been like that for over a year, though. It's time for a change. Images should be no more than 195 pixels in the larget dimension to fit nicely. Think about it.

Did You Know

If you check out Wetpaint on Wikipedia, you'll read about the company's history. Did you know that Time Magazine named Wetpaint as "one of the 50 Best Websites of 2007"? Why not join us there and have some fun in the wet paint!!!
